Bass Beach
Bass Beach, also known as Rye Rocks Point, is a small beach (1,220 feet) located along Route 1A in Rye, New Hampshire between Causeway Road and Central Road. A popular surf and fishing spot, Bass Beach has a mixture of sand and pebbles. Comfortable for the casual beach fan and walkers, Bass Beach is part of Little Boar's Head Scenic Walk. The real appeal of the beach is the lack of crowds. With limited on- street parking available on Route 1A (no permit needed) and one entry point to the beach, crowding is rare. However, there are no lifeguards on duty, trash receptacles, or public facilities, making it challenging for families with children. Entry to the water is easy with the mild grade although, there are a fair amount of rocks scattered throughout the sand that may require water shoes.
