Bass River Beach
Bass River Beach or Smuggler’s Beach is one of the larger and more popular beaches in the Yarmouth area. Offering volleyball courts, a fishing dock, a viewing area, and boat ramp it’s easy to see why this beach draws crowds of people. This beach has a large amount of sand away from the water unlike other beaches in the area. Sand has a light mix of shells, pebbles, and seaweed strewn across the beach wherever the tide touched. The grade to the water gradual and is the water is warm for a New England beach; waves are small and there is a moderate amount of seaweed in the water. Jellyfish warnings happen occasionally. This beach has handicap ramps and beach wheelchairs are available.
