Black Rock Beach
Black Rock Beach is located on Nahant Road in Nahant, Massachusetts. This small residential beach has parking that is shared with Short Beach off Ward Road. The beach is packed sand with a gradual walk out and is relatively free of debris other than seaweed and shells dispersed across the sand by the ocean water. During high-tide the beach is all but gone as the water is pushed against the huge “black rocks” that form a secure barrier at the edge of the beach. Black Rock Beach is a popular spot for kite surfers enjoying time in the surf and other people who just enjoy watching the sport. If you have access to the beaches of Nahant, take time to check out Black Rock Beach, enjoy the calm waters, and take in view of Revere Beach from a distance.
