Coast Guard Beach is recognized as a top 10 beach in the country. This scenic and peaceful beach area offers debris-free sand for miles in each direction. Large waves are popular with surfers and boogie boarders but may be too harsh for children or elderly. Parking is off-site, with shuttles bringing beach goers back and forth from parking area to the beach. The walk from the shuttle drop off point to the beach can be challenging with a steep dune hill to pass over to reach the beach area. In late July and early August green head flies can be troublesome.
