Devereux Beach is located on Atlantic Avenue in Swampscott, Massachusetts. The beach is family friendly with the parking lot only steps away to the beach and convenient restrooms. Popular with the locals, Devereux Beach has coarse rocky sand that may be uncomfortable to walk on for some. The slope to the beach is slightly steep but manageable, and the waves are smaller to moderate-sized with a fair amount of seaweed at the water’s edge. Compared to other beaches in the North Shore area, Devereux Beach is both pleasurable and reasonably priced.
