Gooch’s Beach is a smaller beach located on Beach Avenue in Kennebunk, Maine. The beach is spacious during low-tide with hard packed sand and small amounts of seaweed; the hard-packed sand and gradual descent into the water are great for kids and older adults. High-tide is a different story; the water travels up to the man-made sea-wall, giving occupants the option of waiting out the tide or relocating to rocky Kennebunk Beach only steps away. Nestled between Gooch’s Beach and Kennebunk Beach is Oaks Neck, a rocky area to explore with scenic points. If going for a day, check the tide information below before visiting as high tide limits sandy sitting areas.
