Good Harbor Beach is located off of Route 127A and Thatcher Road in Gloucester, Massachusetts. This beach is a popular destination during the summer months with the local and surrounding communities. This exceptionally clean beach has a gradual descent down to the water which is perfect for children and older generations, with moderate to smaller waves depending on the weather. Soft sand blankets the entrances and areas closest to the dunes. The hard-packed sand is mostly debris-free and perfect for running and beach games. Low-tide creates a completely different enjoyment level; when the tide is out beach becomes much more spacious with warm tidal pools and a sand bar appears for access to Salt Island. Droves of people cross when the tide is out, and many will explore Salt Island and the encompassing area. The Little Good Harbor inlet also is revealed, creating mini tidal pools, textured sand, and areas for people of all ages to explore. Good Harbor Beach is perfect for families or anyone who wants to enjoy a day at the beach.
