Long Beach is located at the end of Rockport Road (primarily) Rockport, Massachusetts. This beach located in both Gloucester and Rockport, offers scenic views of the Cape Ann Light Station and twin lighthouses. Parking can be challenging and is limited; arriving early is necessary to ensure a parking spot. The first 100 yards will be crowded; families needing to stay close to the restrooms located next to parking area and guests staying at the Cape Ann Motor Inn will occupy this area. Past the crowded area there’s a narrow stretch of beach where only occupants of Long Beach houses utilize. This long stretch of beach has limited space available on the beach during high-tide. The beach has easy entry to the water with moderately-sized waves. The sand is clear of debris but is limited during high-tide. Although Long Beach does not offer a full range of amenities, the atmosphere is great for those looking to enjoy a day at the beach.
