Nauset Beach
Nauset Beach is picturesque and the home of Cape Cod’s first shipwreck, the Ketch Sparrowhawk on December 17, 1626. The walk to the beach from the parking lot can be challenging with the trek through the sand, although handicap beach chairs are available. This expansive beach has clean white sand that covers close to 10 miles. The grade to the water is gradual with large waves and strong undertows; sharks and seals are seen annually. Pebbles at the shore line may require water shoes in some areas; the water at Nauset Beach is not as warm as other Cape beaches. Seaweed and shells are on the beach although not in large amounts. A beach camera is available to check out the crowds and surf. http://www.nausetbeach.org/. Nauset Beach also hosts a free summer concert series. http://www.capecodtravel.com/attractions/calendar/event/nauset-beach-concert-series-0
