Pemaquid Beach Park
This popular beach is known for its Caribbean-like sand left over from a glacier. During peak season seaweed is raked and placed in the dunes, clearing the beach and exposing the white sand. The water is relatively clear but, mixed with seaweed; it’s easy to navigate with a mild grade from the beach to the water. With amenities only steps away from the water, Pemaquid Beach can get crowded during summer months but it’s worth the trip.
