Salisbury Beach is located off Route 1A and North End Boulevard in Salisbury, Massachusetts. Salisbury Beach is often overlooked, due to its close proximity to Salisbury Beach State Reservation. Parking near the restrooms will guarantee more people on the beach, mainly groups with children. Amenities provided by the shops on Broadway and the updated sidewalks will more than make up for any lost space on the beach when you’re able to grab ice cream and people watch. There are many Central Avenue access points to Salisbury Beach, although only minutes away from the Broadway entrance gives the beach a completely different feel. The beach front is filled with houses, void of all shopping and large crowds. Instead, the beach will have large gaps of open space with small groups of people. Regardless of what part of the beach you choose, you’ll find clean sand, minimal seaweed, and ample beach space during high-tide. The grade to the water is gradual, and the waves can be on the larger side. The lifeguards are stationed near the Broadway side of the beach. With busy neighboring beaches, Hampton Beach and Salisbury Beach State Reservation, Salisbury Beach often has more space with fewer crowds.
