One of Maine’s more scenic beaches, Sand Beach is located within Acadia National Park within a rocky cove. The entrance to the beach is blanketed by larger rocks and the grade at the beach is gradual with smaller waves. Beach sand is soft and white with seaweed bands spanning across the beach area at high-tide. The parking and beach area at Sand Beach can get crowded during the summer months, but the view alone is worth the wait.
