Short Beach is located on Nahant Road in Nahant, Massachusetts. A residential beach, Short Beach is clean and clear of crowds. Parking is resident only; people renting vacation homes can certainly benefit with resident parking stickers (if provided from the rental) and avoid the crowds at neighboring Nahant Beach. The sand varies by location on the beach: small amounts of seaweed, somewhat rocky to extremely rocky. Finding space on the beach can be challenging during high-tide particularly at the rocky areas of the beach. Wave size varies and the walk out to the water is gradual, which is great for kids or those looking to dip their feet in the water.
