York County

Wells Beach is located off Atlantic Ave and Webhannet Drive in Wells Maine. Beginning at Moody Point and extending to Wells Harbor, you’ll find vast differences at each end of the beach. The southern end near Moody Point is rock-filled, has few entry points, and the rocky sand hard-packed beach disappears at high tide. The northern part of the beach is filled with white sand with very few rocks, has many entry points, and plenty of soft sand to relax on during high tide. The rock jetty at the northern entrance mirrors its neighbor at Drakes Island Beach, and allows for fishing, exploration or a scenic view. Both entrances provide a gradual entrance to the water (depending on the tide) and varying sized waves.
